It all started in a glass studio, Cherry Lane Studio, where Trudianne created vessel sinks and various works of fused glass art. The intricacy of her work demanded having fragile pieces of glass cut professionally, by abrasive waterjet.
Her search for reliable and experienced waterjet cutters who had the willingness to cut small runs led her to pursue the purchase of an Omax 5555 JetMachining Center.
Her life partner/husband, Bill, had 25 years experience as a truck technician and owned a web hosting & computer repair company - bringing that necessary level of expertise to the operation.
A series of requests from other local artists also needing materials cut, an interior designer looking for unique ideas, an EDM shop wanting to provide prototype services, a school needing a new sign for their building, and friends searching for unique holiday gifts led Bill and Trudianne to start Direct Waterjet, Inc.
Direct Waterjet is now open for business to the general public and is woman (and veteran) owned and operated.
